What is a Word of "Word of Knowledge"?

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:8)

A word of knowlege is a knowledge of things that you would not know through a natural acquisition or study. A supernatural word of knowledge is given by the Holy Spirit as one of His manifestations listed in 1 Corinthians 12. Words of Knowledge are God given inspiration and insight into situations that God wants to break into. They release His power to transform a situation from certain defeat into one of certain victory. A Word of Knowledge offers the hearer a higher option to come into alignment with God's purposes and provisions. The potential outcome is often directly related to the measure of faith within the person receiving or not receiving the Word of Knowledge. God, of course is absolutely Sovereign and as such can do absolutely anything. He has also chosen to engage His Sovereignty with the faith of the hearer. It is vitally important that hearers of Words of Knowledge acknowledge that potential and engage it with faith.
